I'm Amanda, the recipe developer, food blogger, and photographer behind Taste of Tranquility. After starting my YouTube channel, I wanted to create a space online where I could share the recipes, crafts, and small DIY projects featured in my videos, so others could try them for themselves.
I've been sharing recipes online since 2020 through my website, Gluten Free Tranquility, which focuses on gluten-free recipes. I wanted to create this sister website as a place to explore a wider range of interests beyond gluten-free cooking. While I'll include ingredient substitutions wherever possible, Taste of Tranquility also gives me the opportunity to share my love of DIY projects, home decor, crafts, and finding beauty in the everyday.
More about Amanda & the blog
When choosing a name for my first website, Gluten Free Tranquility, I wanted something that reflected my journey towards gluten-free living and my love of baking. Tranquility came from the sense of calm and relaxation I find in the kitchen, where baking has always been a therapeutic activity and a way to unwind.
When creating this sister website, I wanted to keep that connection while opening the door to more of the things I love. That's how Taste of Tranquility came about. The name reflects my love of food and baking, while also embracing my other interests, including crafts, DIY projects, home decor, and finding beauty in the everyday.
Although the two websites have slightly different focuses, they share the same inspiration, finding joy in the things we create and taking time to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. I hope Taste of Tranquility inspires you to try something new, get creative, and find your own little moments of tranquility along the way.
